I am trained as an integrative psychotherapist, which means that I am skilled in multiple modalities that allow me to draw on different disciplines to suit how you present what's weighing on you .
I offer an inviting and confidential setting that allows you to feel secure discussing your personal issues. I work in collaboration with you, to give a voice to feelings that may be outside your present awareness and inhibiting your ability to manage the complexity of life’s challenges.
Discussing difficult feelings like guilt, anger, shame, or sorrow, while assessing their effect on your behaviour and self-esteem can provide insights that may change how you feel about yourself and your circumstances.
Our work together can be short-term, involving solutions-focussed strategies. However, your current problems might reveal links to previously unrecognised, longer-term difficulties. Therapy duration is yours to decide, but I feel it is important and beneficial to explore your problems in the context of your whole life.
Achieving an understanding of “who am I?” requires exploring values and beliefs, attachment styles, conflict resolution, and conditions for validation. Underlying this process is the intention to discover the meaning for one’s life in order to live with purpose and set goals and make choices with confidence.
